The crew of ‘Chakka Panja’ announce their latest movie ‘‘Cha Maya Chapakkai’

The film unit of ‘Chakka Panja’ officially announced their new project ‘Cha Maya Chapakkai’s commencement. Amidst a press meet on Monday, the movie- crew announced the movie and unveiled Keki Adhikhari as their lead actress.

The film unit of ‘Chakka Panja’ officially announced their new project ‘Cha Maya Chapakai’s commencement. Amidst a press meet on Monday, the movie- crew announced the movie and unveiled Keki Adhikhari as their lead actress.


However, the director for the ‘Chakka Panja’  series, Deepa Shree Niraula will assisting as the advisory director this time. Dipendra Lama will direct the movie. Director Lama, who already has directed ‘Ghampani’ and ‘Gopi, said that the movie will be different from the remaining movies of ‘Chakka Panja’ sequel. “This movie won’t have any relation to its predecessors. The movie will be based on a different storyline,” director Lama said. “Audience will get a new taste from the new movie.”

Deepak Raj Giri, producer and actor of the movie said that he will not interfere with Dipendra’s work. “Directors should learn to make the best out of their freedom, and also simultaneously remain within ethical and disciplinary boundary. We will obstruct only if the work is not as expected,” Deepak said.


According to the director, the movie will depict a love story between a young girl born in the town and a simple adult male. Advisory director Niraula has informed that the rest of the actors will be finalized within a few days.


The movie will be made under the banner of Aama Saraswati Movies. Rohit Adhikari will be the only producer. The shooting of the movie will commence from Jestha and is slated to hit the theatre on the festive occasion of Dashain.
