KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Sher Bahadur Kunwar has said that the government has taken the problems faced by Nepali workers who have gone abroad seriously.
Speaking at a program organised to unveil the Nepal Migration Report 2022 on the occasion of the International Migrant Workers Day 2022 on Sunday, Minister Kunwar said that the government is working seriously to solve and facilitate the problems faced by Nepali workers abroad. He said that the government needs to be serious not only about sending workers, but also about the problems faced by the workers who have gone abroad.

He said that the government is working to reduce the sufferings of Nepali workers who have gone to work abroad, but the government needs to set policies to establish the rights of the workers.
Minister Kunwar said that the government should pay special attention as to how to deal systematically with the foreign workers. He said that the hard-earned remittance sent by those who go to work abroad is helping the economy, and that the government needs to be serious about the problems that the workers have to suffer.
He said that it is necessary to pay special attention to the management of Nepali workers when sending them abroad. He said that the government is working to ease the situation of the stranded Nepali workers who have gone abroad for employment and the state is working as a guardian to establish the rights of the workers.
