In the concurrent context, we can simply reckon the cessation of Dr KC’s pre-formulated decision to enact fast-unto-death by the Government. He was arrested by the District Administration Office while on hunger strike at Jumla Teaching Hospital. However, another persuading point is that he never escaped from the barriers that stopped him from doing good deeds.
Hence, he started his fast-unto-death at Jumla Police Office following his arrest on Saturday. About a week back, Dr KC had organized a silent demonstration at Maitighar Mandala, demanding the government to lift the ban on holding protest rallies there. Maitighar Mandala has been a popular podium for protest gatherings. Dr KC added, “In democracy, people have the right to raise their voice against the government. By placing a ban on holding protests at Maitighar Mandala, the government has violated citizen’s fundamental rights.”

Many solidarity events have been conducted to support Dr KC for years. The 61-year-old orthopedic surgeon and a leading philanthropic activist has always aspired to bring about a dynamism in overall medical ethics. Unfortunately, the whole country has been oppressed by procrastinating habits of the concerned government delegates. Yet, he has left no stone unturned to advocate for the rights of the people. Recently, Dr KC intention of Jumla Visit was to stretch a hunger strike putting forward a six-point demand including standing against the alterations with the Medical Education Ordinance Replacement Bill.
Dr KC, a person with complete truancy of self-centeredness is striving with all efforts for the betterment of verdure, health, hospitals, clinics and nursing homes. He had helped reestablish hope, and humanity among the Nepali citizens.
