KATHMANDU, Dec 13: The third edition of Brand Nepal, an initiative of Radio Nagarik to promote Nepali products, is being held at Chhaya Center in Kathmandu on December 18. The event will be held from 11 AM to 5 PM.
The one-day event will bring together homegrown local brands that have been able to intertwine with the association of 'made in Nepal’ products with quality and creativity. This initiative aims to provide mainstream visibility to the local start-ups and entrepreneurs through Radio Nagarik and its media partners.
This year's Brand Nepal- Go Local 2021 is planned and organized by Brand Nepal Ventures Private Limited with the vision of promoting Nepali brands and bringing the community together with fun shopping experience, good food, games, live music and a host of other activities and shows for the entertainment of visitors.

The organizer said they plan to take the event this year to the next level with the idea of taking Brand Nepal to an online platform as well as from an event to a movement with primary focus still placed on providing recognition to Nepali brands and services.
Brand Nepal was initiated first in December, 2018 with the objective of bringing together the startup community. Brand Nepal 2019 continued the same vision and goal of giving a deserving platform to the local Nepali brands which turned out to be a great success; resulting in the event being four times the bigger version of Brand Nepal 2018 in terms of brands and footfall.
The event will have a number of stalls of Nepali brands in which varieties of Nepali brands will be participating, showcasing their products including accessories, clothing lines and handicraft products, among other things. Food stalls will be another attraction of the event. Dalle – Naanglo, Hi tea, LOCO Chips - Dipin Donuts and Tasty Donuts are among dozens of food stalls that have confirmed their participation in the event.
The event will also have live performance games of Human Jenga - Pop the balloon - Squid Games - Snakes & Ladder (Ludo) and mini golf. These games are expected to make the event full of fun along with delicious Nepali food and attractive Nepali products.
Those accompanying small children also need not worry. The organizers said they will set up a well decorated kids' corner with adult supervision to engage kids while the parents enjoy the event.
The event is sponsored by Gorkha Craft Beer and co-sponsored by Vatsalya and supported by Anthropose, Hotel Crown Imperial, NYEF and Nanglo Café and Pub.
