Three die as jeep veers 200 meters off the road in Jumla

JUMLA, Oct 24: Eight-month-old child along with her parents were killed after a jeep veered around 200 meters off the road at Hima rural municipality-1. Four others are crtically injured and are en route to Karnali Health Science Academy, Jumla for treatment. The deceased have been identified as Lale Sarki, 26, Janaki Sarki 25 and their daughter Mahima of Tilaram Rural Municipality, Jumla.

The jeep, Bhe 1 Ja 865 had left Khalanga with two people on board to Surkhet for a booked trip. "At our border check post, the vehicle had registered the journey upto Surkhet with two people on board the jeep,"  Madhav Rawat, assistant sub inspector at District Police Office, Jumla said.


Those injured are yet to be identified.
