"We are ready for traffic management and have also kept security measures in mind for PM Modi's visit," said DSP Mukunda Marasini, spokesperson at the Metropolitan Traffic Police Office.

People used to suffer during the official visits of dignitaries in the past but this time it is expected to be different.

"Traffic disruption will be minimal during the two-day visit of PM Modi," said DSP Marasini.

However, police have not disclosed the routes in Kathmandu Valley to be halted during PM Modi's visit. "We will disclose the routes one hour before PM Modi's schedule," said Marasini.

"No other routes will be restricted for any vehicle. The vehicles stopped at one place will not be obstructed twice in the same route," he added.
