Traffic police beats a doctor and breaks his nose in Lalitpur

KATHMANDU, June 28: A doctor has been assaulted by traffic cops in Lalitpur. Dr. Kul Bahadur Ghising was attacked by traffic police constable Rajendra Thapa while working at a health academy in Pulchowk.

KATHMANDU, June 28: A doctor has been assaulted by traffic cops in Lalitpur. Dr. Kul Bahadur Ghising was attacked by traffic police constable Rajendra Thapa while working at a health academy in Pulchowk.


Ghising of Kusunti was walking home after finishing his job at 9:45PM on Sunday. Ghising said that he was struck in the face during a quarrel with the traffic police officer.

He said that after being struck, blood poured from his nose. Following the assault, another traffic officer sent Ghising to the nearby Alka Hospital for treatment. His nose is fractured, according to the doctor. Ghising is now being treated.


District police officer, Lalitpur, SP Siddhi Bikram Sah, said that action would be taken against the traffic police Thapa.
