Traffic police personnel Thapa suspended for assaulting doctor

KATHMANDU, June 29- A traffic police personnel has been suspended for physically assaulting a doctor in Lalitpur.

KATHMANDU, June 29- A traffic police personnel has been suspended for physically assaulting a doctor in Lalitpur. 


According to the District Police Office, Lalitpur, traffic police personnel Rajendra Thapa has been suspended for beating Dr Kul Bahadur Ghising on Tuesday.

Shrestha allegedly assaulted Dr Ghising, who was working at the Pulchowk-based health academy. Ghising of Kusunti was returning home on foot after completing his duty at 9:45 PM on Sunday. Traffic personnel Thapa beat Dr Ghising after the two engaged in a verbal altercation. 


Dr Ghising was then taken to Alka hospital for treatment. The District Police office, Lalitpur had initiated action against Thapa after the news became public.
