KATHMANDU, Dec 3: The two-day 'Statute Conference' of Teachers Union of Nepal, (TUN), called for revising the Education Act that has, through its eighth amendment, barred teachers from participating in the district executive committees of any political party.

The Conference concluded Friday.

The Conference objected to the fresh amendment as it argued the amendment has deprived them of their political rights.
