Two arrested over Lalita Niwas Land scam released from detention

KATHMANDU, Aug 17: Two people arrested in connection with the Lalita Niwas Land scam have been released from detention on Wednesday. However, investigation against them will continue, according to police.

KATHMANDU, Aug 17: Two people arrested in connection with the Lalita Niwas Land scam have been released from detention on Wednesday. However, investigation against them will continue, according to police.

The then officer of Land Revenue Office, Dillibazaar, Dharma Prasad Gautam and the then Chief of Samargunj Company, Lokhari Ghimire, were released from detention for medical treatment, said Spokesperson at the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Superintendent of Police Nabaraj Adhikari. 


He shared, "They have been released from the detention today due to health issues, securing their presence on the day to file a case."
