Two arrested with homemade gun

JUMLA, Aug 24: District Police Office, Jumla has arrested two people with a handmade gun.


The arrested are Shree Bahadur Buda of Chumchaur-7, and Chandra Bir Aidi of Patarasi-3, DSP Bishnu Hari Koirala told Republica Online.

Police arrested them on the charge of breaking into the houses of Prithvi Bahadur Aidi, and Krishna Bahadur Buda of Patarasi VDC-3 of Jumla district.


According to the police, they were found to have been involved in the robbery on August 17, 2016.  


Police recovered the handmade gun from the house of Shree Bahadur who was involved in the robbery. The robbers had decamped with cash and valuables worth over Rs 694,000.


Earlier, police had arrested a man for opening fire at security guards at the district headquarters, Khalanga.
