JHAPA, Aug 11: Police have arrested three youths along with a loaded gun and stolen goods from Dewan Chowk of Arjundhara Municipality-4, Jhapa.


Krishna Kumar Chand, spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office said that the arrested individuals have been identified as Aditya Limbu, 19, Chhering Tamang, 22, and Nikhil Tamang, 21. All of them are the residents of Dewan Chowk, Arjundhara-4.


The Police Station, Shanischare, had started a search operation based on the complaint that cash and goods were stolen by breaking the lock at the shop of Indira Adhikari of Milandandha, Arjundhara-7 on August 9 night.  DSP Chand said that while searching for those involved in the theft, the police caught them in a suspicious condition at around 10:30 PM on Saturday.

Police have seized the stolen goods from them and a loaded gun from the residence of Chirring Tamang. Police have seized silver chain, a batch of 19 NTC recharge cards each of Rs 50 from Aditya Limbu, two silver rings, two silver anklets, one silver chain, five Ncell recharge card  each of Rs 50 from from Chhiring Tamang, and one silver chain from Nikhil Tamang.


Police also seized a khukuri which was used in stealing, from the shop. The District Police Office Jhapa said that the arrested individuals have been kept at the Birtamod Police Station. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
