Two bridges on Narayanghat–Mugling road section brought into service

BHARATPUR, Nov 30: Two new bridges have been brought into service along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section.


A bridge each constructed over the Lamo Baluwa and Dumre rivulets on this road section have been opened for vehicular traffic since Wednesday, said Bijaya Darai, an engineer of the Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project Western Sector (Narayanghat-Mugling).

He said five bridges have already been brought into service before this on the Narayanghat-Mugling road section. Among the 19 bridges under construction on the road section, these five bridges have been constructed in the first phase.


Engineer Darai said that the bridge over the Seti Dobhan rivulet has already been put into service before this. Similarly, preparations have been made to bring into service by Friday the bridges at Topekhola and Chisenji as well.


According to him, works have been expedited to bring eight among the remaining under-construction bridges into use within two months. A bridge each is under construction at Jugedi, Simaltal, Riddhi, Bhorle, Namsi, Tope, Kalikhola and Khahare on the Narayanghat-Mugling road section. He added that the construction of a bridge each over the Khahare II and Tuinkhola rivulets will take some more time.
