The 13 year child had gone to Khalanga to find a room which she’d live in to pursue her education.
“Two people came and said they’d help me find a room at a hotel in Shanti Chautara of Khalanga Bazaar. However, they held me for two days and raped me,” the child said. She added that they initially made efforts to lure her. However, when she didn’t fall into the trap, they threatened to murder her.
Rupak promised the 15 year child that he'd marry her. Instead, she was raped by Rupak and Sabin for the same number of days. Following the incident, the families said that they were being pressurized to back off from the case and reconcile.
“When my daughter didn’t return home after two days, we informed the police. The police found them in a hotel where they had been raped,” one of the victim’s father said. He maintained that the culprits must be booked.
“My daughter has been raped in a locked room. Yet, some people want us to reconcile,” the father said in tears. He also repented the dire state where opinion leaders favored the rapists and asked the victims to reconcile.
In tears, the mother of the 15 year child said, “I have no one and neither do I have sufficient money to fight the case. Who would fight for the justice of my child?”
