Two held for murdering a girl

UDAYAPUR, Nov 15 : Police today made public two persons arrested on the charge of their involvement in the murder of a 13-year-old girl in Udayapur district.

UDAYAPUR, Nov 15 : Police today made public two persons arrested on the charge of their involvement in the murder of a 13-year-old girl in Udayapur district. 


They are 14-year-old Bahadur Rai and 17-year-old Bipal. Organising a press conference, the District Police Office, Udayapur, made them public. Anjina Khadka, 13, was murdered on 10th November when she had gone to graze goats near a jungle at Rautamai rural municipality-3 in Udayapur district.

Superintendent of Police, Chandradev Rai, said that both the accused confessed their crime that they murdered the girl after raping her. 


The girl was found dead in grassland near the house on the next day in course of searching. Family members and neighbours had mounted a search for her after she did not return home till late night. The body of the girl has been sent to Sunsari-based BP Koirala Memorial Hospital for post-mortem, said police.
