Two Indian nationals arrested for producing fake Nepali currency

KANCHANPUR, Jan 12: A team of Far-Western Regional Investigation Bureau of Police on Thursday arrested two Indian nationals while they were producing fake Nepali currency at the no-man's land at Belauri Municipality-6.

KANCHANPUR, Jan 12: A team of Far-Western Regional Investigation Bureau of Police on Thursday arrested two Indian nationals while they were producing fake Nepali currency at the no-man's land at Belauri Municipality-6.

The arrested are Balbir Singh, 22, and Krishna Singh, 19, of Pilibhit district, India. The team arrested them when they were producing fake Nepali currency notes of the denomination of Rs 1,000, said Assistant Sub-Inspector at Far-Western Regional Investigation Bureau, Keshav Joshi. 


The team seized papers, various chemicals and machines used to produce the fake currency. Joshi said that the arrested were active in producing fake Nepali currency staying in India since long time. 

Area Police Office, Belauri, has been carrying out further investigation into the case.
