DHANKUTA, Oct 29: Two persons were killed and six others injured when a pickup truck skidded off the road and plunged around 70 meters down the road at Simledanda of Chhintang-8 in the district on Friday night.

Brake failure is attributed to the incident. The deceased have been identified as a school teacher Prithivi Man Rai of Bhojpur and Sushila Shrestha of Dharan-1 in Sunsari.
Likewise, the injured were rushed to the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, police said. The ill-fated vehicle (Ko 1 Ja 2722) was headed to Bhojpur from Dharan. RSS
