Two Nepal Army soldiers electrocuted to death in Chitwan

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Two Nepal Army (NA) personnel were electrocuted to death in Chitwan on Saturday morning.

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Two Nepal Army (NA) personnel were electrocuted to death in Chitwan on Saturday morning.


According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the two NA soldiers from the Singha Nath Battalion, Shaktikhor, died after being electrocuted. The incident took place when they were trying to cut down branches of trees that had touched a naked high-voltage electricity wire.

The deceased have been identified as Subedar (Warrant Officer, first class) Raju Babu Shrestha and Sepoy Sajan Kumal, according to Spokesperson at Chitwan District Police Office, DSP Surya Bahadur Thapa. While Shrestha breathed his last on his way to the hospital, Kumal died while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.
