Two people killed in Arghakhanchi jeep accident

BUTWAL, Feb 3: Two people were killed in a jeep accident in Dhakawang area of Bhumikasthan Municipality in Arghakhanchi district.


Ward Chairman Buddhi Bahadur Thapa said that 35-year-old Deva Belbase of Bhumikasthan-2 and 47-year-old Demkala Acharya of Sandhikharka-8 died in the accident.

According to the District Police Office, Arghakhanchi, the accident occurred when the jeep (Lu 1 Ja 1679), which was en route to Sandhikharka from Dhakabang stopped on a steep road. The jeep overturned from the road and fell down about 200 meters.


In the accident, Kopila Khanal of Panini Rural Municipality and her eight-month-old son were injured.


The injured have been taken to District Hospital, Sandhikharka, for treatment.
