U19 SAFF Championship: Nepal advances to semi-final

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Nepal have reached the semi-final of the U19 SAFF Championship after beating the Maldives 4-1 at the Dashrath Stadium on Monday.

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Nepal have reached the semi-final of the U19 SAFF Championship after beating the Maldives 4-1 at the Dashrath Stadium on Monday.


Nepal will either play against India or Bhutan in the semi-final.

Prashant Laksam Limbu, Samir Tamang and Nirajan Dhami all scored to take Nepal to the semi-final of the tournament. Tamang scored a brace.


Both teams were reduced to 10 men as Sujan Dangol and Mohamad Hasan were sent off for violent conduct.


Nepal lost to Pakistan on Thursday.
