UDMF withdraws support to govt, to organize non-cooperative and defiance program

KATHMANDU, March 15:  The United Democratic Madheshi Front (UDMF) has decided to withdraw its support to the incumbent government.


The meeting held at the party office of Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party, on Wednesday evening decided to complete the procedure of the withdrawal.

Likewise, the alliance of the Madhesh-centric parties decided to start the non-cooperative and defiance protest against the government from March 16.


In a statement issued after the meeting, the UDMF have decided to defy the election program and the implementation of the new structure of the local level from Thursday. On March 26, the alliance will organize the memorial meeting to pay tribute to the victim of the Saptari incident in Rajbiraj and all district headquarters, according to the statement.


 Similarly, the meeting also decided to organize the sit in stage program in front of the election office in all districts.
