UML candidates win Chair, Vice Chair positions of Baragung Muktichhetra Rural Municipality in Mustang

MYAGDI, May 14: CPN-UML candidates have won the election for the post of Chairman and Vice-Chairperson of Baragung Muktichhetra Rural Municipality in Mustang district.

MYAGDI, May 14: CPN-UML candidates have won the election for the post of Chairman and Vice-Chairperson of Baragung Muktichhetra Rural Municipality in Mustang district.


As per the final result of the vote counting held at Kagbeni-based Office of the Returning Officer, Rinjing Namgel Gurung and Dhiki Gurung of the CPN-UML were elected Chairman and Vice Chairperson, respectively,  of the rural municipality. While Rinjin received 867 votes, Dhiki received 749 votes.

According to the Office of the Returning Officer, Rinjing Namgel's closest rival Anjen Gurung of the Nepali Congress got 577 votes while Dheb Angbo Gurung of the NC got 677 votes.  


Of the 2,224 voters in the rural municipality, only 1,508 voters cast their votes in the election.
