UML CC meeting begins with oath taking ceremony of new CC members

KATHMANDU, August 26: The fourth Central Committee (CC) meeting of the CPN-UML has begun at the party’s headquarter in Chyasal after administering oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed CC members.

KATHMANDU, August 26: The fourth Central Committee (CC) meeting of the CPN-UML has begun at the party’s headquarter in Chyasal after administering oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed CC members. 


At the beginning of the meeting, UML Chairman K P Sharma Oli administered oath of office and secrecy to Jeevan Gautam, Vijay Gupta, Dharma Datta Devkota and Amrit Lal Rajbanshi, who were nominated as CC by the last Secretariat meeting.

Discussions on the political report of Chairman Oli, the division of works, the approval of the decision of the Secretariat, the criteria for the selection process of candidates in the election and the report of the local election investigation committee are among the agenda of the meeting. 


Membership record management, advisory council and reports of the three commissions, regulations related to the work of migration to India, formulation of rules related to party works and discussion on various contemporary issues are also on the agenda of today’s meeting.


The Standing Committee on August 23 and the Politburo meeting on August 25 had prepared agendas for the party’s Central Committee meeting.
