KATHMANDU, July 22: Chairman of CPN-UML and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is on a formal visit for election observation at the invitation of the Cambodian government, has met with the Prime Minister of Cambodia.
According to the Personal Secretariat of Chairman Oli, Chairman Oli held a meeting with Prime Minister Hun Sen this morning in the capital Phnom Penh. Along with Oli, 22 senior politicians from different countries are currently in Cambodia for election observation.

Furthermore, former presidents and former prime ministers of different countries are also in Cambodia to monitor elections. A Nepali team led by UML Chairman Oli reached Cambodia on Tuesday. Cambodia's foreign minister also had a meeting with Oli.
Oli was received at the airport by high officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to the Secretariat, Oli also had a courtesy call with former Prime Minister of Pakistan Yusuf Raza Gilani and former President of Nigeria Goodluck Ebele Jonathan at the airport.
Today, Oli has a program to discuss with the officials of the Election Commission there. Before participating in the dinner organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UML Deputy Secretary General Bishnu Rimal said that Oli is scheduled to address the International Conference for Peace and Democracy.
Around 18 parties have participated in the elections to be held in Cambodia. A total of 335 observers from 65 different countries are currently in Phnom Penh.
