UML decides not to withdraw its support to Koshi govt

BIRATNAGAR, Nov 6: The CPN-UML has decided not to withdraw its support for the Koshi provincial government.


UML Minister Ram Rana had resigned on Saturday following Chief Minister Kedar Karki's inclusion of the CPN (Maoist Center) and the CPN (Unified Socialist) in the government. However, Chief Whip Rewati Raman Bhandari stated that in a parliamentary party meeting held on Monday, they decided not to withdraw support at this time. He explained, "We have stepped out of the government, but we have decided to retain our vote of confidence."

Bhandari, said that on Monday's agenda, which includes the approval of the budget ordinance, the party will assist in the approval of the budget in the provincial assembly.
