UML demands retention of temporary, contract employees

KATHMANDU, July 29: The main opposition party, CPN-UML, has urged the federal, provincial and local governments to not relieve employees working on contract and temporary basis.

KATHMANDU, July 29: The main opposition party, CPN-UML, has urged the federal, provincial and local governments to not relieve employees working on contract and temporary basis. 


Stating that employees appointed on temporary, contract and daily-wages basis at the three-tier government are being discharged with the commencement of the new fiscal year, the party said it is in favor of job security of those employees.

In a press statement on Friday, UML Federal Affairs and General Administration Chief Kiran Gurung demanded the retention of the employees and guarantee of their professional security.
