After the meeting, Deputy-leader of the CPN (UML) Parliamentary Party, Subas Nembang, said the incident should not be interpreted as the vote counting centre being under seize as the security personnel have taken those involved in tearing the ballot papers under control and that there is a legal provision of going for re-polling only when the voting centre or the ballots have been seized.

He said, "Conspiracy has been plotted for re-voting by carrying out such incident at a time when there is guarantee of victory of CPN (UML) mayoral candidate Devi Gyawali in Bharatpur Metropolitan City." RSS
