UML leading Maoist Center with 3, 389 votes in Bharatpur Metropolis

BHARTPUR, May 23: With the vote countin of Ward No. of 27 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City is over, CPN-UML mayoral candidate Devi Gyawali is leading CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Renu Dahal with 3, 389  votes.

BHARTPUR, May 23: With the vote counting of Ward No. of 27 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City is over, CPN-UML mayoral candidate Devi Gyawali is leading CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Renu Dahal with 3, 389  votes.


UML candidate Gyawali has secured 26, 056 votes while his rival Maoist Center’s candidate Dahal has got 22, 220 votes.

For the post of deputy mayor, NC candidate Parbati Shah is ahead with 25, 692 votes while her rival UML candidate is following Shah with 23, 662 votes.


Similarly, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate is trailing way behind with 2, 958 votes.


Of the total 29 wards, the vote counting of 15 wards has been completed. UML has won 10 wards (2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 28, 29) while NC has clinched victory in five (1, 3, 6, 8, 27)   wards.


It is speculated that in the remaining wards, UML will have less votes while the number of votes of Maoist Center is likely to increase.
