UML Secretariat meeting to prepare poll strategy

KATHMANDU, August 11: The main opposition party CPN-UML has called a Secretariat meeting to prepare the initial strategy for the elections on November 20. The meeting will be held at the Central Party Office, Chyasal at 12:00 PM.

KATHMANDU, August 11: The main opposition party CPN-UML has called a Secretariat meeting to prepare the initial strategy for the elections on November 20. The meeting will be held at the Central Party Office, Chyasal at 12:00 PM.


According to Office Secretary Dr Bhishma Adhikari, today’s meeting will review the training program recently completed by the party in all seven provinces.

Reviewing and analyzing the state of the party and public opinion across the country is also on the agenda, it is said.


The Secretariat meeting will also take a decision to call the meetings of the Standing Committee, Politburo and Central Committee. It is said that the meeting will chalk out the party’s election manifesto, and form strategy draft preparation sub-committees.


The UML appointed Senior Vice President Ishwar Pokharel in Province 1, Vice President Surendra Pandey in Madhesh Province, Vice President Bishnu Poudel in Bagmati, Vice President Asta Laxmi Shakya in Gandaki, Vice President Subhash Nembang in Lumbini, Vice President Ram Bahadur Thapa in Karnali and Vice President Yuvraj Gyawali in Sudurpaschim Province to complete the training program.
