KATHMANDU, April 6: The ruling CPN-UML has summoned a meeting of its National Convention Representatives Council for April 20-22.
According to UML Central Office Secretary Dr Bhishmaraj Adhikari, the meeting will take place at Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur. A total of 2,153 general convention representatives are expected to attend the meeting.
UML council meeting to continue today
As per the party statute, the Council meeting needs to be held between the two National Conventions as per the need.
A meeting held at the party’s Central Office on Saturday decided to commence preparations for the Council meeting.
The Council meeting is expected to discuss reports to be presented by the central committee and the central body, endorse the documents, make an overall review of the party performance and give necessary instructions to the party’s bodies concerned.
