KATHMANDU, Jan 23: A CPN (UML) standing committee meeting is ongoing at the residence of party chair KP Sharma Oli, Balkot, Bhaktapur.
The meeting is likely to finalize 16 candidates from Province-1, 2, 3 and 4, Bhim Rawal, party vice-Chairman said.

Yesterday, UML had already finalized 13 candidates from province 5, 6 and 7. Kamala Oli, Indra Kadriya Bista, Sher Bahdaur Kunwar, Chakra Prasad Snehi (Dalit) are the candidates from province-7.
Similarly, Kabita Bogati, Nanda Sharma, Narapati Lohar, Bhairav Sundar Shrestha, Thagendra Puri are from province-6 and Ram Lakhan Harijan, Khim Lal Bhattarai, Mina Buda, Komal Oli are from Province-5.
Of the 56 seats in the National Assembly elections, UML will have 29 seats. Likewise, another 14 will be shared with the CPN (Maoist Center) while remaining 13 seats will be shared with other fringe parties of the Left Alliance.
