UML wins in Sainamaina Municipality

BUTWAL, July 3: CPN-UML candidates have emerged victorious in election held for the post of mayor and deputy mayor at Sainamaina Municipality in Rupandehi district in the June 28 second round of local level election.

BUTWAL, July 3: CPN-UML candidates have emerged victorious in election held for the post of mayor and deputy mayor at Sainamaina Municipality in Rupandehi district in the June 28 second round of local level election.

Chitra Bahadur Karki has been elected to the post of mayor securing 13,036 votes. He defeated Phadindra Prasad Sharma of Nepali Congress (NC) who obtained 10,305 votes. 


Likewise, elected to the post of deputy mayor is Bina Rana. She garnered 13,261 votes while her nearest rival Laxmi Chaudhary of NC got 9,709 votes. RSS
