Unified Socialist Chairman Nepal returns home

KATHMANDU, July 6: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal returned home today, completing his visit to Sri Lanka.

KATHMANDU, July 6: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal returned home today, completing his visit to Sri Lanka.


Nepal had gone to Sri Lanka to attend a function organized on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka and a meeting of the communist parties of South Asia. Nepal landed in Kathmandu today on a flight of the Sri Lankan Air UL 181.

During his stay in the island country, the former Prime Minister held a meeting with Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Srilankan PM Dinesh Gunawardena, centering on the age-old bilateral relations between Nepal and Sri Lanka, according to his secretariat.
