KATHMANDU, August 27: CPN (Unified Socialist) party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has accused CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli of leaning toward the right-wing groups. Nepal said that Oli had started to become oppressive since he became the party’s chairman and has finally shifted toward the right-wing groups.

Nepal said that he will not be cooperating with Oli and CPN-UML at the moment. Furthermore, he urged CPN-UML lawmakers and members to revolt against Oli to become free from his oppression.

“Oli’s shift toward the right-wing had left us with no alternative but to form a new party. We will only cooperate with parties with whom we share a common ideal but not with the right-wings,'' Nepal said. “I had taken the responsibility of getting rid of Oli myself after he started running the party on his own accord,” he added.

He claimed that he had held discussions with CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Upendra Yadav, Baburam Bhattarai and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba after seeing Oli’s oppressive behaviour.

In addition, Nepal said that his CPN (Unified Socialist) party will not make any enemies but will see everyone as their allies. “I expect everyone to understand our sensitivity and not to interfere in our party’s internal affairs. He said that his party will cooperate with the CPN (Maoist Center) along with the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) as well.

Nepal said that his party will remain dedicated to Marxism and Leninism. “The CPN (Unified Socialist) party will move forward by assimilating the values of multi-party democracy. The party will prioritize the Nepali model of socialism. The party will be dedicated toward the nation and the people and will continue to be loyal to its ideologies and principles,” he said.
