KATHMANDU, Dec 4: The CPN (Unified Socialist) party is holding its Secretariat meeting today at the party’s central office in Alok Nagar.
The primary agenda for discussion at the meeting is the determination of the new date for the upcoming convention, initially scheduled for January.
This decision comes in light of the National Assembly elections coinciding with the previously planned time frame.

Jagannath Khatiwada, the head of the party’s Publicity Department, stated that the Secretariat meeting is being convened to address the logistical challenges posed by the simultaneous scheduling of the convention and the elections.
The meeting is expected to delve into crucial matters, including the examination of intra-party directives aimed at resolving internal disputes.
This entails the potential reassignment of responsibilities among leaders, division of work, and nominations to various committees.
Moreover, the agenda encompasses discussions on formulating strategies to enhance the party’s structure and strength.
