KATHMANDU, April 18: Dhirga Bahadur Sodari, the parliamentary party leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) in Sudurpaschim Province, has staked his claim to the post of chief minister (CM)..
Sodari has garnered the support from CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML, CPN (Unified Socialist), Nagarik Unmukti Party, and one independent lawmaker.
Initially opposed by the CPN-UML, Sodari now enjoys their backing to sustain the alliance at the federal level.

However, the faction led by Resham Chaudhary within the Nagarik Unmukti Party has declared opposition to Sodari’s candidacy.
With the backing of these parties, Sodari is expected to secure the necessary majority to stake his claim to the post.
