KATHMANDU, August 29: Unilever Nepal Limited has announced to distribute 1,100 percent cash dividend to its shareholders.

The company's board of directors on Monday decided to recommend cash dividend of Rs 1100 per share having face value of Rs 100. Issuing a statement on Monday, the company also announced an additional special dividend of Rs 170 per share to mark the 25th anniversary of its establishment in Nepal. The cash dividend is subject to the approval of the company's upcoming AGM.

The company's turnover saw a growth of 13 percent in the last fiscal year, according to the statement. "However, the growth has been broad-based across all categories and mainly led by skin care and hair care products giving a positive mix. This was delivered in spite of the challenges of factory lock-out for 2.5 months, non-arrival of summer adversely impacting sales of Soaps and various other market disruptions in last few months,” the company added in the statement.
