Unknown group tries to torch two vehicles in Birendranagar

BIRENDRANAGAR, May: With the local level election just a few days away, an unknown group has attempted to set fire to two vehicles in Birendranagar on Friday. The unknown group intentionally set fire to the two vehicles which were used for election campaigns.

BIRENDRANAGAR, May: With the local level election just a few days away, an unknown group attempted to set fire to two vehicles in Birendranagar on Friday. The unknown group intentionally set fire to the two vehicles which were used for election campaigns. 


According to police sources, a scorpio jeep and an SML bus, parked at Mangalgadhi chowk in Birendranagar was set on fire at 12:30AM by an unknown group. Although the police reached the site immediately and were able to control the fire, the unknown group managed to flee.

According to locals, the group fled immediately after setting the vehicles on  fire. As Mangalgadhi Chowk is the main market, locals say that it will be easy to arrest the person who started the fire with the help of CCTV cameras.


The fire was brought under control with the help of locals and police. Surkhet police are currently investigating the incident.
