The meeting was initially scheduled for yesterday. However, it was cancelled as there was no political agreement on the issues.

Through political consensus, the government is likely to nominate provincial chiefs; two each from Nepali Congress and CPN-UML while Maoist Center, RJP and FSFN will have one each. PM Deuba has already sought names from the five parties for the same.

At present, temporary provincial capitals are likely to be where high court is. Protests have erupted in Dang and Doti since early morning today where residents have demanded both districts to be provincial capitals.
