Update : Death toll in Dailekh jeep accident climbs to five

SURKHET, Nov 28 : The death toll in Dailekh jeep accident has climbed to five as three more injured succumbed to their injuries during the treatment.

SURKHET, Nov 28 : The death toll in Dailekh jeep accident has climbed to five as three more injured succumbed to their injuries during the treatment.


The trio died when they were being rushed to Surkhet today afternoon. Critically injured Sumsher Bam, Yuddha Suchi and Manish Siwakoti have been undergoing treatment at Surkhet Hospital.


The deceased have been identified as Rajendra Bahadur Shahi, aged 45, Nirmal Bam, aged 30, Ramesh Shahi, aged 30, Ratna Shahi, aged 46, and Dilip Shahi. All the deceased were residents of Thatikadh Rural Municipality of Surkhet.

Two persons had died on the spot and six others injured today morning when the ill-fated jeep met with an accident at Dhamigaun in the district.


The incident took place when the ill-fated jeep (Bhe 1 Cha 2207) en route to Thatikadh Rural Municipality from Surkhet skidded off the highway and fell 200 meters down.
