TAPLEJUNG, Mar 2: A fire that broke out early this morning at Taplejung’s Dobhan Bazaar is now almost under control.
So far, as many as 49 houses have been gutted by the fire, according to the preliminary data collected by the District Disaster Management Committee.
Four houses reduced to ashes
According to the assistant Chief District Officer of Taplejung, Gayatra Adhikari, as many as 49 houses of 33 people have been destroyed by the fire. “Detailed information regarding the loss of property is yet to be acquired,” she added.
Dobhan Bazaar is one of the market hubs in the area. Locals have estimated a loss of property worth millions.
