UPDATE: Police identify those killed in Dolpa's jeep accident

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Ten people, seven men and three female were killed, two critically injured and one is missing after an overcrowded jeep veered off the road into the Thulo Bheri River in Dolpa, DSP Abdesh Bista of District Police Office, Dolpa said.

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Ten people, seven men and three female were killed, two critically injured and one is missing after an overcrowded jeep veered off the road into the Thulo Bheri River in Dolpa, DSP Abdesh Bista of District Police Office, Dolpa said.


Eight of those deceased are from the same municipality.

Earlier, the jeep was said to carry 12 people on board.  


The jeep, Bhe 1 Cha 1610 was en route to Supani from Dunai, the district headquarter. 


The passenger jeep veered 50 meters off the road at Kala Gowda. The jeep's driver and a passenger are undergoing treatment at District Hospital. 




  • Hem Raj Hamal, 45, Laxmi Rokaya, 18, Narsingh Katayat, 62, Sher Bahadur Thapa, 25, Asmita Rokaya, 13, Budh Dharala, 45, Kumar Rokaya, 24, Yam Rokaya, 12 of Tripurakot, Tripura Sundari Municipality-1,




  • Bhadra Rokaya, 30 and Manisha Dharala, 17 of Thuli Bheri Municipality-5, DSP Abdesh Bista of District Police Office, Dolpa said.




  • Amina Budamagar, a staffer at District Court is missing.




  • The injured, driver Dinesh Bohora and Nanda Bahadur Thapa, from Tripura Sundari Municipality-2 are undergoing treatment at District Hospital.
