KATHMANDU, July 9: Vehicular movement along the Jaya Prithvi Highway has resumed after the landslide debris was removed. The vehicular movement was obstructed since Sunday due to a massive landslide near Bijaypur in Patan Municipality-8, Baitadi.

Chief District Officer of Baitadi, Bhimkant Sharma, announced that debris that obstructed the vehicular movement along the highway was cleared and reopened on Monday morning with the help of loaders from the road division office.
There were two separate instances of landslides on Sunday night. After the first landslide was cleared, the road was temporarily reopened in the evening. However, it was subsequently blocked again by another landslide.
