Water levels rise in several Kathmandu rivers following heavy rainfall

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: The water level in various rivers and streams of the Kathmandu Valley has risen due to the incessant rainfall.

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: The water level in various rivers and streams of the Kathmandu Valley has risen due to the incessant rainfall. 


According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the Khodku rivulet of Lalitpur and Bagmati River around Gaurighat have surpassed the alert levels.

The division has urged the surrounding settlements to remain alert as the water levels in rivers and streams have crossed the danger mark. 


Similarly, the water level in the Hanumante River of Bhaktapur, Manohara River of Lalitpur and Lal Bakaiya of Makwanpur has also been rising.
