SALYAN, Feb 11: The shortage of drinking water in the district for the past 24 hours has severely affected the routine hospital activities.
The paucity of drinking water has hampered works with the hospitals unable to maintain even mere sanitation. The hospitals are also facing problems in carrying out daily surgical operations.
The water is supplied for two hours twice a week and this cannot even fulfill the minimal 10 per cent demand of the hospital, District Health Chief, Dr Manisha Rawal said.
"We are holding daily surgical operations in the hospital. We need a lot of water for cleaning after an operation, right now we don't even have drinking water," Dr Rawal shared. RSS
