KATHMANDU, June 30: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government is committed to holding the elections to the House of Representatives and the provincial assemblies on time.

KATHMANDU, June 30: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government is committed to holding the elections to the House of Representatives and the provincial assemblies on time.


Speaking at a program organized at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwar on Thursday on the occasion of the 64th Parliament Day, Prime Minister Deuba said that the local elections were held in a clean, fair and fearless manner. He also called on all parties to work with the highest interest of the nation.

Stating that periodic elections would play an important role in strengthening the federal democratic republic, Prime Minister Deuba also pointed out the need for all to work together to move the country forward as a developed and prosperous nation.


Stating that the country is moving forward by establishing lasting peace and development, Prime Minister Deuba said that the experience of the former parliamentarians would be useful in making it meaningful.
