We received justice only after eight days: Pranesh’s father

Stand-up comedian Pranesh Gautam who was arrested for reviewing ‘Bir Bikram 2’ was released on Sunday. The Kathmandu District Court has ordered for his release in a general date.

Standup comedian Pranesh Gautam who was arrested for reviewing ‘Bir Bikram 2’ was released on Sunday. The Kathmandu District Court has ordered for his release in a general date. Though his hearing was scheduled for Friday, it was delayed due to the absence of government lawyers.

After his release, Rishi Gautam his father, expressed joyfully that it was just a preliminary justice he received and added, “I suffered a lot when Pranesh was in custody for eight days. Today, the court has released my son in a general date. We received justice only after eight days.”
