KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Dr Shekhar Koirala, a presidential candidate at the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress, has said that his group will win the election in the first phase itself.
Koirala said that the party would win in the first round by getting over 51 percent votes as there are capable and qualified candidates in his group.

He claimed that his team was capable of leading the party as envisioned by BP Koirala and dreamed by leaders like Suvarna Shamsher, Ganeshman Singh, Girija Prasad Koirala, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and Shushil Koirala. He said that his victory is assured as his team is capable of making the necessary changes in the party.
He also urged the cadres to cast their votes to his group as his team has energy and experience to lead the party by making necessary changes.
