KATHMANDU, March 16: Chairman of the main opposition party CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli has said that his party will defeat the ruling coalition alone in the upcoming election.

Addressing the full meeting of the party-affiliated women's organization on Tuesday, Chairman Oli said that the UML alone was enough to confront the coalition parties. “The UML will crush the coalition parties if they contest in the polls alone. If they come alone, they will be crushed. Even if all five parties come together, we will still crush them,” said Oli.

Chairman oli said that the UML has become stronger as the people's attraction towards the UML is increasing, the wave of UML entry is going on day by day and the people's representatives from other parties are preferring to join the UML.

“I am not saying this on a whim. You can see the wave of people joining the UML each next day. At the local level we will achieve much more than what we achieved before. UML will win the election at least in 60 percent local level,” claimed Oli.

Oli said that it is difficult for the ruling parties to go among the people. "We will take part in the elections, we can fight against the coalition,” he said.

Chairman Oli claimed that the UML would have more weight even if the UML is on one side and all parties in the alliance on the other side. He said that the leaders of the ruling parties are eager to join the UML and that they would be managed at the local level.
