POKHARA, June 21: Sixteen new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were detected in various districts of Gandaki Province in the past 24 hours.
Of the new cases, nine are from Baglung, four from Myagdi, two from Parbat and one from Tanahu, according to a press statement issued by the Gandaki Health Directorate, Pokhara.

The number of COVID-19 patients in the province has climbed to 504, according to the directorate.
The COVID-19 death toll in the province currently stands at one as of today while 49 persons who were earlier diagnosed with coronavirus have recovered and returned home.
With the latest report, the coronavirus infection has spread to all 11 districts of the province, authorities said.
